How the template works
Write a single record as JSON and drop placeholder tokens where you want fake values. The generator produces an array of however many records you ask for, resolving each token freshly per record. A string that is exactly one token takes that token's native type — so "age":"{{int:18-80}}" yields a real number, and "active":"{{bool}}" a real boolean — while a token mixed into text stays a string ("Hi {{firstName}}").
Tokens
- Identity:
{{uuid}},{{firstName}},{{lastName}},{{name}},{{email}},{{phone}},{{jobTitle}},{{company}} - Place:
{{city}},{{country}},{{domain}},{{url}} - Numbers / choice:
{{int}}or{{int:1-100}},{{float:0-1}},{{bool}},{{pick:red|green|blue}},{{color}} - Text:
{{word}},{{words:4}},{{sentence}},{{paragraph}} - Time:
{{date}},{{datetime}},{{past}},{{future}}(ISO 8601) - Index:
{{index}}(1-based),{{index0}}
Uses
Seed a database, populate a UI with placeholder content, build API fixtures, or load-test a parser. Need to tidy or validate the output? Use the JSON formatter; to turn a sample into type definitions, try JSON → Types.
Privacy
Generation runs entirely in your browser — nothing is uploaded, and the fake data is yours alone.
