What it does
An Outlook .msg file is a MAPI message stored inside an OLE2 “compound file” — a little filesystem of binary streams. This viewer reads that container, pulls the MAPI properties (subject, sender, recipients, plain and HTML body), decodes the character sets, and lists attachments.
Safe HTML rendering
The HTML body is shown inside a fully sandboxed <iframe> with scripts disabled, so anything embedded in the message can't run. Switch between HTML and plain-text views.
Attachments
Attachments are decoded from the message's __attach streams and listed with name, type and size, ready to save.
Notes & privacy
Everything is parsed locally — nothing is uploaded. Embedded messages and RTF-only bodies aren't expanded. Got a plain .eml instead? Use the EML Viewer (this page also auto-detects and handles .eml if you drop one).
